Group sessions where you can share your thoughts with other
patients.
Individual patients experience varying degrees of pain and
soreness after heart surgery. You may be advised to go in for
pain management, if your doctor thinks it is necessary. He will
prescribe pain medication, which can be requested every three-
four hours depending on the amount of pain you experience.
Please inform your doctor and nurse if the medication is not
effective. It is suggested to take pain medication prior to
chest physical therapy .
If you are unable to deal with your stress , you can discuss the
issue with your doctor.
A nutritional assessment is made and the Dietician discusses
with you and frames a diet plan.
After a cardiac surgery, the patient is encouraged to climb
stairs. If all the haemodynamic parameters are normal at this
time, the patient is briefed about HOME CARE and discharged.
