Introduction |

While nursing forms a crucial part of effective recovery of
patients, it plays a more definitive role while dealing with cardio
vascular patients. This course enables suitably qualified nurses to
become competent in assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating
the specialized nursing care of patients undergoing treatment for
cardio vascular disorders. Nurses will also be equipped with skills
to support relatives of the patient and doctors. |

Training |

The Post Basic Diploma Course in Cardio Vascular Nursing is
recognised by the INC & WBNC. Students will be trained at
Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences
in
the following areas: Intensive Therapy Unit, Coronary care unit,
Cardiac operation theatre, Cardio Pre & Post-operative Ward, Cardiac catheterisation lab, Non-Invasive areas, and Heart camps. Classroom
activities include intensive practical and theory sessions.
