The Echocardiography Laboratory at RTIICS, Kolkata started working from April,2000 & performs over 24,000 cardiac ultrasound examinations per year.  The lab performs both, out patient and in patient, Adult & Paediatric Echocardiograms utilizing state of art equipments. 

A full range of Echo services is available Trans Thoracic, Trans-Esophageal, Stress and Intra-Operative Echocardiograms are routinely performed by our doctors to enhance patient care.  Approximately 80% of the Echocardiograms done in the lab are adult studies.

The Echocardiography lab features, state of –the-art ultrasound imaging equipments & facilities.

• The department has 5 Ultrasound Machines, including one Philips 7500, one Philips 4500, one Philips Envisor, two Philips Image point, in addition one GE machine, is utilized for various camps organized by the hospital at different remote places in West Bengal.

• Digital review and reporting of clinical Echocardiograms with two reporting stations.

• Three Trans-Esophageal echo probes (One paediatric).
